Personal Data Collection Statement for “Craft Market Booth Operator Database”

  1. The Cultural Affairs Bureau will process the collected personal data in accordance with Law No. 8/2005 “Personal Data Protection Act”, and use the data for the following purposes:
    1. For the establishment of the Craft Market Booth Operator Database;
    2. Data items marked with (*) on the Craft Market Booth Operator Database may be used for the registration of activities held by other organisations and may be transferred to data recipients according to Clauses (1) and (2) of Article 2 hereof;
    3. For communication purposes;
    4. For the purpose of collecting market data on Macao handicraft artists;
    5. For present or future investigation or market research on the handicraft industries;
    6. For other purposes of fostering the development of Macao’s handicraft industries.
  2. Processing of personal data:
    1. The Cultural Affairs Bureau may transfer data items marked with (*) provided by you on the Craft Market Booth Operator Database to data recipients (i.e. organisers or co-organisers of activities registered with your consent, including government departments, commercial entities, associations, or individuals, among others);
    2. In addition to the previous clause, the Cultural Affairs Bureau may transfer your personal data according to law under the following circumstances:
      1. As required by laws;
      2. As required by legal proceedings brought by the judicial authorities or other competent authorities;
      3. For the protection of the properties and rights of the database service and its relevant websites;
      4. For the protection of the interests or personal safety of database service users or the public.
  3. Any missing or incorrect data on the Craft Market Booth Operator Database may affect the future communication between you and the Cultural Affairs Bureau, the information collected by data recipients, and the circumstances mentioned in Article 1 hereof.
  4. When transferring your personal data to data recipients, the Cultural Affairs Bureau will employ appropriate technologies and organisations to protect your personal data from any accidental or unlawful damage, accidental loss, and unauthorised modification, dissemination or access to the data, especially illegal practices in the course of data transmission through the Internet and other unlawful means of processing. You hereby understand and acknowledge the potential risks during data transmission through the Internet. Therefore, by using the relevant services, you have agreed to bear such risks and all losses that may arise thereby.
  5. After filling in all the relevant information, you are entitled to access and modify them. Data subjects can log in to the database to access or modify their personal data.
  6. For any updates of this Statement, the Cultural Affairs Bureau will substitute the updated version for the old one and indicate the date of update, without further notice.
